Genie Restructuring Distribution Network - 26/05/2009
Terex AWP / Genie has announced some changes to its distribution organisation in Europe and will be centralising all new product and replacement parts distribution to Roosendaal in the Netherlands.
The new operation, managed by Howard Wilkinson, is based at a dedicated logistics centre and will offer same day shipping for most machines and replacement parts. It will open for part business on June 2nd 2009 and Genie are aiming for it to be fully operational by the end of November. Some jobs are expected to be lost of local Genie centres, but new jobs will be created in Roosendaal.
Customers will be able to access the new facility via the web for parts orders but they can also continue to call their local Genie service centres.
